Reigning Premiers On Tour
This year’s under 13 MNZ Premiers are off to New Zealand in 2010 for the club’s first ever Rugby Tour.
Plans are well underway for a squad of 20 players and 10 support staff to fly out of Sydney to Christchurch on Sunday July 4 2010 for 7 days of touring in the great rugby tradition.
The Tour will take the squad across New Zealand’s South Island from Christchurch to Queenstown, with 3 games of rugby scheduled against local club sides and a host of sightseeing tours and adventures along the way. It will be a truly unique and memorable experience for the boys that will last them a lifetime.
Fundraising
A key element of the tour is the boys taking personal responsibility to raise funds and pay their own way. To assist them the Tour Management Group club has developed a range of initiatives with an emphasis on the club, the community and the personal development of the boys themselves.
Jobs for Boys
An initiative within the local community where the boys will work to raise a minimum of $500 each through local projects or jobs with local businesses. Many of the tour squad are already well on their way to earning their target. And we’d welcome any offers of work for the boys. Please contact Rob here .
