This was no accidental meeting at Christchurch Airport!!!. Robbie Deans had heard of the legendary abilities of several members of the LCJR 14s Team and was in fact talent scouting. The word has been leaked that several members of the Team will be receiving Wallaby contract offers shortly!!!

Thank you Lane Cove Junior Rugby Club for giving Alex F the opportunity of participating in a unforgettable Tour of NZ. This will be something that Alex will cherish all his life undoubtedly.
As this Tour comes to an end, perhaps the organising Committee might consider arranging a "Slightly past their Prime Rugby Tour" for the Parents. Paris would be nice ! A suggested Team:

Front Row: Rob Olvers & Fiona Olvers.
Hooker: Brigid Bremner ( Captain Coach)
2nd Row: Tony McGrath & Tom Roche
No 8 : Michelle McGrath
Flankers: Steve Jones (open Side) & Catherine Jones (Blind Side)
Half Back: Gary Gerstle

Five-eighth:Mike Flannery
Centres: Mike Lacinski & Eric Stammers
Wingers: Mary Vaughan & Richard Vaughan

Full Back: David Bowie

Reserves: Rest of the LCJR Parents.
Team Manager: John Bremner
Ball Boy/Oranges: James Fong

I'm available to do Bunnings BBQs any time to assist with any fund raising upon the green light being given for the tour !!!

Looks like great fair weather skiing. Enjoy the hangi. We are all looking forward to seeing you tomorrow Tom - it's gone so quickly. Never realized what an attraction "Po" was; although he always was my favourite tele-tubby.

Well done Lane Cove U14B's, you did a great job allowing the Dunstan High Team to win in a close match ! We know you deliberately threw the match bearing in mind the upcoming Tr-Nations matches with the All Blacks!!! You knew that a revengeful All Black Team wanting to salvage National Pride is a fearsome proposition for our Wallabies to face ! All family members of the Wallabies thank you for your consideration!
Enjoy a great day on the Ski fields today. Its been a great pleasure receiving the daily reports from the talented pen of your scribe ( its Peter Fitzsimons accompanying the tour incognito and writing anonymously, isn't it ?) ,the terrific photos, and of course the acknowledgement of all of us of the terrific work of Team Management,Team Coaches and accompanying Parents for their organisation. Judge Rob Olvers being Head of the Discipline Committee was probably the most underworked person on Tour ( no suspensions or send homes etc that we are aware of ) !!!If there have been any hiccups on the Tour, we certainly couldn't tell from the daily updates. Everything appears to have gone like clockwork. Well done all.
